Sap Run Results Archive

The PDF below contains all the results we have been able to obtain so far. We are optimistic that we will be able to fill in the blanks that exist between 1995 and now. We are less optimistic about the years before 1995. Anyone who can find any of the missing results will receive a free entry to the next Sap Run. Contact tmagnan@stalbansnordic.org if you find some. (Note that 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to Covid)

How to use the PDF Archive

The results are ordered chronologically, starting with the most recent. I put two years side by side to save space and make my formatting simpler.

You can use the search feature within the PDF (upper left hand corner) to search for a specific year or search for your name. I suggest selecting the “highlight all” feature in the search options if you search for your name. Also, the search function doesn’t seem to like upper case letters, so use lower case only.

There are also Participation Rankings at the end of the PDF. You can quickly jump to these by searching “participation”

Only those who have done 3 or more Sap Runs made the cut on the participation rankings. I didn’t want an extra 30 pages at the bottom with all the people who have only done one or two.

Note that there are no relay results in this archive and relay participations are not counted in the rankings. It complicated things and I didn’t want to include it.

Corrections

In regards to participation rankings: There are no doubt some errors in these numbers due to the fact that runner’s names may have changed over the years, especially for women who may have changed their names after marriage. I tried to find the situations of duplicate names like Bill/William, or Beth/Elizabeth, but I may have missed some.

If you see a correction I can make, please let me know. There may be special awards in the future for runners that reach a certain number, and I don’t want people left out. I’m also kind of a data nerd and I like to be accurate.

Other Corrections: I’m sure there are spelling errors. I didn’t always have gender specific results, so I had to guess a lot.
